Anyone got any ideas for an Avatar costume? I have seen the official Avatar costume but was wondering if there are any ideas for making your own?

I recommend getting some blue body paint for your avatar costume from liquidflesh.com It's amazing stuff, a bit like wearing another layer of skin!

Wow do they do it in green? I was thinking of going to my next fancy dress party as the jolly green giant as I'm only 5' 4" :)

A Jolly Green Giant costume would be great! Upload a picture if you do manage to make a costume. Alternatively you could always use green snazaroo facepaint

While online costume sites might be the first place you think of looking for complete costumes from the AVATAR movie, there are other places to check which may help you find a more unique AVATAR costume. Here are some ideas for less obvious places to look for costumes.

Already need your AVATAR costume for an AVATAR viewing party or Cosplay event? Fortunately, most online costume sites are saying that they will have any licensed AVATAR costumes available early in the fall. Just like this site. That is wonderful:

How about buying some elf ears and using blue snazaroo face / body paint on the ears as well as on your face?

Have seen the combo of elf ears and facepaint work quite well..remember to get yellow and black as well as blue to add the spots. Maybe try searching for Smurf costume stuff. Also you will find premade kits @ avatar costumes
