Hello, I'm selling my belle dress (beauty and the beast) through EBay and wondered if anyone was interested? It's almost Brand new, worn only once :) cgi.ebay.co.uk/Womens-Belle-fancy-dress-/330588157300?pt=Adult_Fancy_Dress_UK&hash=item4cf896f574 Thanks, Rachel :)

There seem to be a lot of retailers here so I just wondered if any of you do sell on ebay or wether you all tend to have your own websites or shops? My wife and I have an ebay shop selling a totally different style of product which we enjoy and we were thinking of opening our own website as well.

Ebay costs are too high these days you would be better off investing your time and money towards your own website.

Well there's a thrift store near in my house where they sell different Disney characters costume. It was really a good deal because I get mine for only $8.

How this will look, if someone wear pumpkin as fancy dress. :)

I think this will be an awesome idea.

Why not make your own- there's loads of websites out there that give you step by step instructions on how to do it, and the material you need will generally cost you less than £10

My wife and I have run a succesful ebay shop for some time (but not fancy dress i'm afraid - lavishlingerie if you want to have a look) and I agree that ebay fees are obviously far higher than running your own website, but you must keep it in context. The traffic and therefore potential customers on ebay is huge and unless you are an expert in SEO or going to pay money to people who are in the hope that they will manage to get you high in google searches, then it maight not be that bad. Compare it to the rent you pay for a bricks and mortar shop. If you want to be in the main plush shopping centre and benefit from the huge footfall that will bring, you will pay many times as much rent as if you have a shop up a backstreet in a rubbish part of town.
